    The series continues with Harper & Tate. She briefly met him in the first book. Again a nice, hot, warm read. There's two seem perfect for,each other. There's more of Brooke & Saxon. This time we meet Lana, Tates sister & her book is next. Still no Rachael I thought she'd make a good tale.
    I suppose his could be a standalone but I'm sure more of this group will be mentioned in the next book.

    I said on my Facebook page that only fellow book buddies and book lovers would understand what it’s like to come across a book that you know you’re going to love from the very first chapter. Well, I fell in love with this book from the first sentence. Utter bliss.
    I was wildly clapping (yes, it was in the privacy of my own home where no shame reigns!) that this story was focused on Harper’s tale. She was such a character from book one in this series that I was hoping she would be featured more.
    Harper’s day can’t get any worse. Well. That’s what I thought but it seems to stretch into a number of days and then weeks when she decides to put herself back out into the dating world. This book needs to come with a warning on the front ‘Do not read in public places’ – I had tears. Tears from laughing so hard. Hubster found me rolling around in the bed while trying to breath from my belly laughs. Oh, the antics of these dates. Hilarious.
    I love Harper’s chaotic mind. She’s high maintenance but when I found out what’s happened to her, I can totally understand why she is the way she is. Smith has written a very likeable and complex character.
    Tate. **sigh** He is just what Harper needs. Someone to be there for her if she lets him. He’s witty, he’s smart and successful and he is the perfect match for her. He is a formidable force and was a delight to read.
    Stephanie Smith is a new author to me and I’m so grateful that I found her. Her writing style - sublime. Her way with words – perfection! For an author to pull the kind of emotion she did from me in the first book and then a different kind of emotion in the second, takes a true writing genius. She will be an automatic buy in my world from now on.
    For lovers of romance, drama and super sexy – this series hits the spot – but please take note, there are cross over characters and you don’t have to read these in order but I would recommend that you do so you can enjoy the story from the beginning. I’m itching for book three.

    Tate Washington *sigh* Where on earth do I start, trying to form sensible comments on Tate Washington is hard. Big time hard.
    Anyway, focus Louise. Whatever You Do is book 2 in the Try Again series, book 1 was Saxon and Brooke's story and I totally loved it. I didn't think, after reading Wherever You Will Go that it could get much better. I was so wrong.

    This time, the story follows Harper, the bubbly, sexy receptionist who worked with Brooke and Saxon. She was sweet and funny and I absolutely knew her story would be crazy entertaining.

    Harper seems to be having full on, crappy luck. From job fails, to huge boyfriend fail, all in the space of one day. This called for a change, something new and different. She decides to try internet dating!
    So begins the most hilarious yet shocking visual of internet dating at it's very worst. I was in hysterics following poor Harper's lousy excuse for dates. Some of the very worst specimens seemed to be lining up for coffee with Harper, and it was all seen by Tate. Tate is what should be known as the 'Coffee shop god'. He is perfection in Male genes, and covered in ink, which helps masses. Did I mention he is totally loaded but doesn't show off about it. Yup, perfect.

    Tate owns the coffee shop that Harper meets all her dates at, so he gets to watch along with all the disasters.
    Although Tate has made it more than obvious he would happily take Harper out, she is determined to find herself a man who wants something more than fun. Yet this doesn't seem to stop the huge amount of sizzling, chemistry between them.

    Tate’s jaw tightens as he sits eerily still and just stares at me. So still I can see the muscle in his jaw tick and the pulse in his neck throbbing.
    My eyes begin travelling and I can’t help but appreciate the site in front of me. Butterflies begin to stir low in my belly and I feel warmth moving up my cheeks. Great, another completely inappropriate crush for me to harbour.
    No matter what I can’t let anything happen with Tate Washington.

    Harper is convinced Tate wants nothing more than a fling with her, she is totally wrong. It's obvious Tate likes Harper a lot, and is determined to show her.

    Tightening my hold around Harper’s waist I pull her closer against me. Her body is tense in my arms and even though I’m happy that I affect her, I’m not happy with how. I want her to feel comfortable with me. To melt when she’s in my arms. Turn to liquid and trust I’ll hold her up.

    From snort giggles, to blushing squirming, to huge sighing, this book takes you through stupid amounts of emotions. I loved the characters, and how Harper is so normal and down to earth. She is gorgeous, but doesn't know it. She has insecurities like anyone else, and is so unbelievably sweet but not in a tacky and irritating, over done way.
    Tate is.. well a coffee shop god, what more can I say? But, he is not only gorgeous but a really great character. Believable and honest. Stupidly sweet to Harper, which makes me strangely jealous that I don't have a Tate of my own, to tuck in my pocket. Too weird? Oh and also to top it off, he has a growling alpha side that comes out from time to time. Perfect!!!

    I fell in love with Stephanie Smith's writing in Wherever you will go, and it only got better in Whatever you do. She is fast becoming one of those author's, that you know you will love anything that they write. Steph brings out all the best aspects in her books, but makes them bigger and better the next time around. I don't think I'll forget the scripture show down in a hurry. Stupidly entertaining!!

    There most definitely was not a dull moment in Whatever you do. It was full on incredible scenes, panty wetting humor, and characters that stick in your mind for a long time. I can't wait for whatever Stephanie Smith brings out next.
    Hugely recommended. Sigh-worthy romance, with smoking hot scenes, and a huge dose of the funnies. 5 massive stars!!

    Butterflies erupt in my belly as he stalks towards me. The excitement, nervousness and anxiousness all flow together to create the perfect high. I step backwards into the wall as Tate cages me in with his hands pressed to the wall either side of my head.

    This book starts off like a Monday morning after your weekend plans got cancelled!! Losing your job, find your boyfriend balls deep in some skank and not even bothering to stop doing said skank when he gets caught!! Then having some weird and funny blind dates ..Man in shoes and then the roidhead with the 'little' problem. Laughed so hard I think I peed my pants just a little. I'm so glad I read this book and you will be too so go on, get it and enjoy it as much as I did.

    Yeah, yeah, yeah....I know, I know"...I just bought, read, & reviewed book 1 this morning but AFTER I did that....I bought & read this one too. Just as good, just as sweet. But, the two books, though they share some of the same characters, the stories are as different as night & day. You don't HAVE to read book 1 to understand this book, but it would make it a bit more enjoyable (it's free right now so really no excuse not to read it) since the characters cross over. This book deals with Harper, who was the receptionist at Argo (the company that Saxon & Brooke ran together in book 1) & Tate, the guy who works at the cafe down the street (and delivered food to Argo a few times). Harper has TERRIBLE luck with guys....I mean, just TERRIBLE. Every single guy she has dated has cheated on her, starting with her HS boyfriend at age 16. She decides, after getting fired from Argo & going to her boyfriend's house only to find him with another woman, to try online dating. She decides to meet the guys at the cafe where Tate works. OMG....her dates were hilarious. Just cracked me up.....a mama's boy, a Wizards of Warcraft player in his 8th? 9th? year of college who lived in his parent's basement & still received an allowance, a non-stop cryer, a guy with a toupee, a guy in heels....I'm laughing now just thinking about it. Anyway, Tate is there to witness every date...and after every date, he asks Harper out. She always says no. Until after the last bad date, she accepts. I'm terrible about giving too much away in reviews but I will say this.....Harper has SERIOUS trust issues & Tate, although falling in love with Harper, hasn't really tied up all of his loose ends with his ex-girlfriend/fiancé. She still calls constantly & Harper witnesses her name on the caller ID a few too many times to be OK with it. Quite a few problems & misunderstandings due to her trust issues. But, it's a great story....no cheating, HEA, no cliffhanger, standalone (but as I said before, it shares characters with book 1 so...), no grammatical errors, no physical violence, no unnecessarily crude language (some bad language but it works for the scene....not gratuitous), one brief scene with an ex.

    Harper probably should have just stayed in bed. After being fired from her job, then finding her boyfriend in bed with another, there seemed to be little reason to get dressed, much less be a part of the world. Failed relationship after failed relationship has her looking for a new way to find members of the opposite sex. She decides to take to Internet dating as a way to find men she could select from based on compatibility. She quickly realizes though that things are not always as advertised, and the one that you need may have been in front of you all along.

    Tate is not one for quick hookups. He’s been on the receiving end of his own heartbreak at the hands of his fiancée. When he meets Harper, then the secretary of a business that his deli delivers to, he is immediately taken with her. When she comes back to the deli months later and uses it as a place to meet her Internet dates, Tate decides to “help” her to weed them out, to watch her back. Though he finds himself hoping her dates fail so that he might have a chance with her. Problem is, Harper has a preconceived notion of the type of guy Tate is, a player just looking for hookup, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Will Tate ever get a chance with her, or will her inability to trust him end things before they even begin?

    Harper’s foray into the Internet dating world comes with all of the laughs you might expect. The Internet, and the anonymity it provides, is a breeding ground for all sorts of people with issues, all trying to find love. Whether it be decades old profile pics, an inflated sense of self, or a penchant for wearing women’s shoes, Brooke realizes that perhaps dating the old fashioned way is more her style. Needless to say, reading Tate’s reaction to the losers Harper manages to attract is just as humorous as the dates themselves.

    Whatever You Do is a sweet, if not slightly predictable steamy romance. I loved the character of Tate, he is probably just about everything you could ask for in a book boyfriend. Harper on the other hand…I honestly got a little tired of her lack of trust in Tate. I wouldn’t blame him for wanting to throw in the towel for feeling like he was the one constantly in the wrong. This one is a little high on the angsty meter for me, but I did enjoy the story and it was worth it just to have met Tate. The book was well written and I liked the inclusion of Brooke and Saxon from the first book in the series, Wherever You Will Go. Each book is a standalone, however I would suggest reading them in order.

    The main characters Harper and Tate are hilarious and totally made for each other.
    Tate is the funny, sexy and passionate guy, who wasn’t looking for a relationship and then Harper comes along, sweet and unlucky in love, her dating experiences in this book are wet you pants hilarious.
    Tate is extremely patient with Harper and her issues and it just made me love him more.
    What I enjoyed most was the really fun storyline and the chemistry between the characters it all worked in perfectly.
    I highly recommend this series for a light hearted and romantic reading experience.
