Daring Wes (Cade Brothers) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 336 ratings

A second chance he didn't see coming...

Wes was born with a competitive streak. Ever since he could walk, he's made it a point to never lose.

And he never did, until his girlfriend left him senior year of college and his professional sports career tanked.

Four years later, the last thing Wes needs as he prepares for the game of his life is his ex-girlfriend sauntering into his resort on the arm of her new fiancé. Then again, this might be Wes's opportunity to win back what he's lost.

Because if there's a chance Wes was wrong about Kaylee and she really had loved him, maybe he can break his mental block and win back his game--and the girl.

“This book was laugh-out-loud funny, but also tender and touchingly romantic.” ~ Amazon Reviewer

EXCERPT
Oh God. “You seemed to have… acquired new skills.”
“Shhh, Kaylee,” he said low. Seductive. His breaths passing over her tender flesh. “We don’t want anyone to find us here.”

Kaylee and Wes were college sweethearts, he was too caught up trying to become a golf pro to notice things wrong with Kaylee. 4 years later she turns up with a fiancé and lots of guilt! When she finds something out about her fiancé, Wes is there to comfort her. Can they forgive and forget the past mistakes or is it too late?

I read the first book in the series and I really enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to seeing what happened with the rest of the brothers in the series. Although, this book was not quite as good as the first one, it was still a very good read. It was interesting to see into Wes' mind and to see how screwed up he was with his breakup with Kaylee, but also very sweet to see how he easily admitted that he loved her. I found Kaylee a bit more problematic-I thought the reason for the breakup was a bit silly to be honest. I get that they were young, but this is not something that is solved by not talking about it. Also, the character of the young golfer was not developed apart from being a good way to show a softer side to Wes; nothing about her parents lack of proper care which I found unrealistic. Still, I could overlook that and get into the story. Overall, it was a good read and I quite liked it. It was also lovely to get a further glimpse into Levi's and Emily's sweet relationship!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I recieved this ARC for an honest review

This is the second book in the Tate Brothers series, Wes manages the pro golf shop at his family resort . After a string of bad luck starting with his girlfriend dumping him at crucial time when he was training to became a pro golfer his luck just kept going and he never got the dream he wanted. Years later he and his brothers now manage the family resort. Wes has commitment issuse with women, not wanting anything more than a willing bed partner for a night.

But nothing has prepared him for the shock of seeing the one  woman he loved and who dumped  him.

Kaylee had always loved Wes but he made her feel 2nd  best to his wants and needs. She is back  now and wants closure so  they can both move on. She is unprepared for the hostility Wes has for her. So how will he feel when she tells him a secret she has had to live with.

Throw in a cheating  fiancee and a lot of miscommunication. You have an awesome read.

This was a great read and I cannot wait for Bran's story.

    Another great read from Jules.
I'm really loving the Cade brothers and their feisty but sweet females.
Kaylee has some unfinished conversations to have with Wes before she gets married.... Wes doesn't want to see her, let alone have said conversations!!!!
Can Wes and Kaylee forgive each other and find their way again or are somethings too big to overcome?
I loved Wes' humour in this, he really made me smile and Kaylee was good for his character.....
I would have preferred a different epilogue, but I'm guessing we will read more of their story through the next book about Bran 'the monk'😉
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is the first golf romance that I've read and I really enjoyed it! Wes Cade was a golfer that could have gone professional but things happen and when your head isn't in the right place then you don't get far. Wes is however the owner of a golf course that he owns with his brothers and is enjoying doing so until his ex girlfriend Kaylee comes back into the picture.

This book is an emotional rollercoaster between Wes and Kaylee I was laughing and crying and could really feel Kaylee's pain
The book showed that Wes was funny but was also a person that once his heart is set on something is determined to get it and in this case it's Kaylee. It was painful in places watching him struggle but enlightening when he started to grow and gave you a really warm feeling in your chest.

This second chance romance is full of emotion and character growth. Wes and Kaylee have a lot of baggage to deal with before they can truly move on with their lives. This is also a chance to see how the Cade brothers are doing with each other and managing the family resort. I'm looking forward to Bran's story in book 3! I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.

Daring Wes is a second chance romance. Kaylee and Wes are both stubborn, motivated, and in love with each other. Even if they won't admit it. I loved their journey of discovery as they finally admitted how they truly felt and learned to trust again.

Daring Wes is well-written, with strong, likable characters. Love of family is an important aspect of the story and to me, that makes it even better. The story flows smoothly and held my attention from page one.

I loved Book 1 in the Cade Brothers Series, Tempting Levi. I can't wait to read Book 3, which is Bran's story. I definitely recommend reading Daring Wes and the rest of the Cade Brothers Series.

Okay it's been a while since I read Tempting Levi and Daring Wes hadn't been released. Well I just now picked back up the series and oh man I forgot how good these brothers are. Totally enjoyed getting reacquainted with the brothers and significant others. There was a little bit of a surprise in this read which made things interesting and made Wes realize what was important. Loved the second chance Wes got with Kaylee. Now to read Bran's story to see what's up with him. A little tid bit was mentioned in Wes's book so now I'm really intrigued. LOL

What happens when your ex-girlfriend shows up at your family business with a fiance. Her fiance wants her to learn golf better. Guess what job Wes gets.

Wes is unhappy and happy about this. He is trying to find his way after his golf career turned south and his father died. She is just trying to make something on her own.

Wes find out the fiance is cheating on her and tells her, but she doesn't believe him. Another person tells her the same thing and she believes that person. This makes the end of the fiance.

Will Wes and Kaylee make it back together? Secrets are bought out in the open causing some more friction and almost tears them apart. A new surprise is also on their way.

Will Wes and Kaylee get their happily ever after? Read to find out.
Read an arc from the author.

I love Jules Barnard's Tahoe series, so much that I plan to visit Tahoe soon. There have been hints in earlier stories about Wes' romance issues but when it is finally revealed it's not what we thought. Wes is a good guy and deserves a second chance now that he knows what he needs to do. It's amazing that a cold and distant father could raise such good men. Looking forward to the last two stories!
