I don't remember ...
A blank face. Unrecognizable. The darkness and impenetrable fog, day after day after day. Who am I? And for that matter, who is she?
I can't remember ...
Two sides to the same coin – one wants to remember, and the other wants to stay forgotten. Which side will win? Can he trust his heart to bring him back to her? Or will she stay lost in the fog forever?
I might never remember ...

About the author

Crazy woman from an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.
I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.
Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

- Reviewed in Australia on 12 April 2018Verified PurchaseThis is one of those stories you like to hate. Definitely very different & I'm still unsure how I feel about it. There are a few amnesia stories out there but it so unusual, perhaps a bit more realistic than those who remember then go on with life & a HEA.
One for those who like something different from the norm.

I rarely come across a love story where there are no bad guys or an evil ex out to ruin the couple’s perfect relationship. The real conflict in this book is the main character’s past and present self.
When I read how Jayson and Delaney met and how their relationship progressed from there I wasn’t that overly impressed. I thought they were just a pair of loved up druggies who couldn’t hold a decent job for long. What I do admire about this two is their undying love towards each other sober or not. And then Jayson had the accident and everything changed. He couldn’t remember his name he forgot about his past and Delaney. Having a new identity and finding new love and a second chance at life seems to be the best thing that happened to him. When he meets Kitty, someone who comes from a well connected family and with a good heart, I thought there’s his chance he better grab it and never let go.
Reading about this complicated love triangle gave me conflicting emotions towards Jayson, Delaney and Kitty. When Jayson/Jon had amnesia after the accident he actually grew up and sorted out his priorities. Delaney a young woman in her twenties hasn’t got much to her name either but for Jay her love is unconditional and she is willing to sacrifice her own happiness for him to live his new life. “I love him. I love him so much. It’s like he’s dying all over again. Like I’m dying. God please help me. Help me get through this. Make him remember me, or make him go away, because I don’t know how much more of this I can take.”
This is a well written standalone story and gave my heart a real tug of war. The author’s words weave a truly beautiful romance and makes you believe in true love and finding your soulmate no matter where or what you have become. Because when true love finds its counterpart, it always recognises it. It's all in the muscle memory. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and give it 4 stars!
- Reviewed in Australia on 4 September 2017Not my favorite from this author.
Though I did understand the circumstances of the love triangle, I didn't like it. Having to read about this amazing yet toxic love between the hero and heroine only to switch to the hero and his new girlfriend. It was hard and I don't think the author captured the rawness of such a situation. Del was too understanding and kind.
Like I said I understood why Jon/Jay was with Kitty but their beginning felt extremely rushed. I mean come on...she basically took advantage of his fragile mind. I'm not a fan of reading about the hero and another woman in such detail. No thank you.
All in all not bad but not my favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 soulmate perfection stars!
Verified Purchase“I’m glad I forgot us.”
Wow -without question- this is one of THE BEST books we’ve read in this -amnesia second chance romance- theme. It could’ve been full of clichés or over the top drama, but it really wasn’t. It was perfection! It was beautiful. It was heart-breakingly intense. It was incredibly romantic. It showed that no matter your past, you have the ability to change your life, deserving a second stab at it without judgement, sometimes what makes you –YOU– on the surface is not a complete nor true reflection of who you are on the inside. Muscle Memory features a wonderful hero who completely stole our hearts in every which way and a heroine who we admired and fell in love with for her strength and her beautiful soul. We lived and breathed their story alongside them.
“We’re two parts of a whole, always making up for the other one. We couldn’t survive without each other.”
The secondary characters entwined in this journey played a tremendous part creating a story that felt emotionally complete. In all honesty, this story felt new, unique and it was quite simply flawless in its exploration of Jayson and Delaney’s past and present. Whilst the journey this Author took us on had a melancholy and an initial ugly broken dreams feel, it was also hopeful, inspiring and had such depth. It re-affirmed the message that true love has no hidden agendas, rather it endorses the selflessness of love and sacrifice. That second chances of life are possible and the will to make that happen is a reachable goal.
‘If she couldn’t be the love of his life anymore, she would help him love life.’
This story of tragedy, love, re-discovery, healing and acceptance was vividly written without hesitation, whilst shining the light on an intense soulmates romance whose path of self-destruction came to an abrupt climax. What followed was a well-paced journey that had us crying, laughing through tears and clutching our kindles to our chests as we fell in book love.
“I don’t know her, but she’s in my blood and in my bones and in my body. I wake up reaching for her, but can’t remember her ever being there. I turn around to look for her, then realize she was never with me. She’s my ghost, she haunts me. I don’t remember her, but I know her.”
The ultimate gift of love has many nuances and can come in an abundance of guises such as friendship, loyalty, understanding and guidance. This story shows that second chances can make or break, that lives and people can change by either unexpected circumstance or by self- belief or even will power.
“You were…life.”
You know we hate spoilers, so this is a completely spoiler-free review as per usual where we talk feelings instead. Our feelings, well they were utterly-completely and wholeheartedly tied up in the words of this fabulously written romance by Stylo Fantome. This second chance story is one that’ll stay in the heart of any hopeless romantic. We’ll leave you with these words; the heart always knows!
“In love we trust.”

5.0 out of 5 stars Stylo Fantome at her best!!!!!!!!!
Verified PurchaseWOW!!! Where do I begin. This story is filled with so many amazing moments. There is so much heart and soul in these words, in these characters you cannot help but feel every single one of them.
Jayson and Delaney have some EPIC moments of love, life, heartache, and growth between these pages.
I cannot say enough about the supporting characters. Mrs Sloan and Jon have the best banter their relationship is so unique it just works. The story wouldnt be what it is wothout Sloany.
I cannot tell you how many times I laughed and cried all within the same chapter. There are so many highs and lows it truly keeps you on the edge of your seat reading.
I couldn't wait to get to the end to see how it all played out, however, I wasn't ready for it to end.
Stylo is an automatic one click for me. Everything she has written is so unique always refreshing.
Mrs. F has another EPIC story on her hands. If what you seek is a different love, right vs wrong love, soul crushing love you need this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book !!!
Verified PurchaseA totally mesmerizing fascinating story which I truly loved. Such a remarkable tale that is so original and unusual and certainly makes you think how easily this sort of thing could alter your life path completely. Impeccably written with depth and conviction it pulls all those little strings in your heart.
John Doe wakes up in hospital not remembering who is he or what has happened to him. He is devastated to realise he remembers nothing of himself, family, friends or his life previous to the accident. Told from his POV it flits back and forth from before the accident so we get to see who and what he was before he ended up in hospital and his struggle once he realises just how bad this all is and the road he takes to make a new life for himself and his re discovery of his old one. The two main characters were a delight to read and I loved them both in different ways, and the secondary characters played a very important part in this superb book and added to the chemistry and enjoyment.
This book pulls out all the feels. It is raw and passionate, frustrating as hell but rewarding in other ways. It is sad in parts but so full of hope in other ways - just an amazing book that shouldn't be missed - oh and that cover, I LOVE it !!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved it but for the drug use
Verified PurchaseJon pulled at my heartstrings right from the very beginning when he wakes up from a coma and discovers he has amnesia. The author kept it very real, I totally got his coonfusion, fear, anxiety, anger, frustration. This was done so damn well.
What I struggled with was the flashbacks, not because I'm usually not a huge fan but because I was given a very in depth look at his life with Delaney prior to his accident, with detailed, prolific drug use. That right there is a hard limit for me, I really don't want to read about drug abuse in my romance novels. Yes, I know it happens out there and am aware of the awful struggles addicts have but in my books ... no, I don't wanna know. This definitely took the polish off what would totally have been a 5 star read, editing issues and all.
Once the story stayed in the now and I got to know the drug free Delaney I really liked her, she was so in love with Jon/Jay and I felt her pain and sorrow, did I ever! I totally 180'd my feelings on her, I love it when an author does that. I also love how the author didn't make it easy for either of them, and that he didn't miraculously bump his head again and get his memory back. See, keeping it real. That so worked for me.
