Vivienne's Guilt Kindle Edition
Guilt...
Like a cancer, it festers, slowly stealing your life bit by painful bit.
What do you do when you have betrayed the love of your life but he is no longer there to grant you forgiveness? How do you carry the weight of your gravest mistake knowing there is no way to atone for it?
I've made a terrible choice–one that can't be undone.
Hiding this secret is eating me alive.
But if it ever came out?
If it were ever discovered?
It would destroy everything.
Reid
They say you always want what you can't have.
From the moment I laid eyes on Vivienne Parker, I knew I was fighting a losing battle. I want to believe that I'm better than this–that I wouldn't cross that line–but deep down, I know if I were ever given a chance, there's no way in hell I'd refuse.
She's my uncle's wife, so why does it feel as if she is mine?

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 April 2017Right from the download sample I knew I had to read this book! I read the whole book in bed one night when I couldn't sleep it took about 3 hours but it was so worth it 😊 really felt deeply for all the characters.. such a great read!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 January 2019I’ve read all this authors previous books and I knew going in this was going to be different but I didn’t expect it to be anywhere near as emotional as it was. This book hit me with all the feels. It deals with some pretty serious topics in a very sensitive way. The characters are extremely easy to like and the story had me hooked from start to finish. A really good book and hard to believe it was the authors debut book.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 October 2018This is the first book I’ve read from this author but it definitely won’t be the last. My heart is still aching over Vivienne’s heartbreaking story. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure which way the plot was going and I was afraid that I wouldn’t like it but I needn’t have worried. The plot took a different turn and the twists!I definitely didn’t see them coming.
Vivienne’s Guilt is an emotionally raw and beautiful read and I. Was. Hooked!!
I can’t recommend this book enough. Once I’m over this book hangover I’m off to devour everything this author has written.

This is a very well written, solid and original debut novel, that I devoured in no time.
I really had no idea what this book was about, and just when I thought I had it figured out, the story took a different direction.
This is the emotional story of Vivienne - a young mother, who is unable to come to terms with the sudden and premature death of her soul mate and husband, Abbott.
The stages of her grief are painful and raw, and when her late husband's nephew turns up to help her run a summer camp at her lake house, his resemblance to Abbott starts off a series of events that made me want to keep on reading.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable debut novel, full of emotion and twists, and I was very satisfied with the ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars All Stories are Love Stories and this one is a Beauty...
You can't really understand love until you've felt its loss, to be without it. To have it there one day so bright and beautiful and shining and then in an instant its gone and your eyes have trouble adjusting to your new dawn. To be confused shattered and so alone that you'd do anything to have them back including projecting them on another. This was a heart wrenching book, and done so very beautifully. It shows deep promise for this writer who can pull out so many emotions that wring with clarity and truth, as if they really happened. A mark of a good writer. Love transforms and she showed this exceptionally well through Vivienne and Reid. For that is how you know it is love, you are forever transformed both inside and out along with trappings and people that now surround your new life, holding onto all those remnants that remind you of the one your soul is mated too, the one we call our soul mate.
So do yourself a favor and buy and read this book. Comb through and feel the delicate and sometimes sharp features, that love brings with it in tow. In the end, as this book shows, we all know who are hearts truly beat for, it is the one we look for when we open our eyes and then one we feel in the haze of the night, before we close our eyes, whether it is just for the night or forever.
Well Done. Dude Approved

4.0 out of 5 stars Be prepared for shocker after shocker
This was a tough sell, I'm still not sure where I stand, It makes me think of what's right and wrong, and that's why I gave it 4 stars. Anything that sticks with me and I have to tell someone about it makes for a good read to me. Vivienne is a broken woman, she had the perfect love story with a little princess. Now she is spiraling down a dark path with no hope of stopping. It was Freaking Sad so sad. I felt the heaviness of everything that Viv is going through. It tore me up. Reid comes to help his Aunt out and it becomes a whole another issue the Viv has no clue about. Be prepared for shocker after shocker and to me I was still sad at the end.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love, hate relationship with this one!
I don't know where to begin, but I will say... Major spoiler alert!
I thought this was a love story, my first disappointment! It's just a messy story of heartbreak and bad decisions. Viv looses her husband and also her damn mind! Literally! No jokes! I didn't care for her at all. She was annoying as hell and self absorbed. I'm not taking away from the lose of her husband, that's not what I mean. As her grieving progressed selfishness increased as well. It was clear to me from the start that she knew Reid had a thing for her and that he reminded her too much of Abbott but the red flags never raised in her mind. His presence was as comforting to her as her pill popping. Reid was a teenager with raging hormones and a huge infatuation for this woman and as I saw him falling for her, I knew this wasn't going to end well. The book was interesting enough for me to finish and definitely a great plot that was unique. I was just looking for something I didn't get. My favorite character was Cassie and I was annoyed at how under rated she was in this book. She was everything to everyone and at times I didn't understand why she was still friends with Vivienne. Reid should have fallen for her, would have made for a better ending. I won't completely ruin the end but I will say, if you're looking for a happy one or one with moral standing, keep looking. You won't find it hear. You will, however, be entertained from start to finish and that's why I can't hate the book. It got me to the end! Other issues I had was with some of the cheesy dialogue, cliche character types (virgin girl, hoe of a man meet and marry/sarcastic slutty bff for comic relief who never finds Mr. Right) Super cliche!
