Vivienne
Guilt...
Like a cancer, it festers, slowly stealing your life bit by painful bit.
What do you do when you have betrayed the love of your life but he is no longer there to grant you forgiveness? How do you carry the weight of your gravest mistake knowing there is no way to atone for it?
I've made a terrible choice–one that can't be undone.
Hiding this secret is eating me alive.
But if it ever came out?
If it were ever discovered?
It would destroy everything.

Reid
They say you always want what you can't have.
From the moment I laid eyes on Vivienne Parker, I knew I was fighting a losing battle. I want to believe that I'm better than this–that I wouldn't cross that line–but deep down, I know if I were ever given a chance, there's no way in hell I'd refuse.
She's my uncle's wife, so why does it feel as if she is mine?

WOW, what a way to introduce yourself as a writer Heather M. Orgeron. Vivienne's Guilt was everything a reader could ask for and so much more!
Vivienne's Guilt is a story about a woman Vivienne who has to learn to go on with life after losing the love her life, her soul mate, in a tragic accident. Attempting to be strong for her daughter, Vivienne struggles to live, depending on a prescription drug to help cope with life, as well as with the help of her best friend Cassie and her deceased husband's nephew Reid. Reid, her nephew that is a spitting image of her husband. Although Vivienne knows that her husband Abbott is dead, she can't keep her head from tricking her in thinking that Reid is Abbott. Reid can't stop thinking about how 'HOT' is his aunt is. His attraction to her is undeniable, but he knows that he can't reveal it. How can he? Vivienne is his dead uncles wife, HIS AUNT. As time passes, Vivienne finds herself depending more on Reid, and their connection, bond increases. Reid knows that if an opportunity for him to be with Vivienne were to arise, he wouldn't let it pass. He was falling for Vivienne, fast and in a bad way. Moments of weakness, loneliness, and desire combined with prescription drugs and alcohol have Vivienne hallucinating, providing the perfect opportunities for Reid to cash in on his own desires. Reid not realizing Vivienne's state of mind, thinks that what they experience together is real and that Vivienne is aware of it all. Oh how in the dark Reid's in when hell breaks out and not one but two lives are shattered and changed forever.
Vivienne's Guilt is heart wrenching. 'OH MY,' what a world wind of emotions Heather put me through throughout the entire book. I was crying from start to finish, no really, BIG FAT UGLY TEARS. Heather's writing style made the story jump off the pages, surrounding you and making you feel like your living every single moment in the book. I couldn't put the book down and it has left an imprint in my heart and soul. BRAVO Heather! I'm so happy that you shared this story with us and I can not wait to read more from you.

"Vivienne's Guilt" by Heather M. Orgeron

    🌟🌟🌟 3.5 Stars

The first few chapters of this book had me feeling so sad and emotional, that I wasn't sure I could keep reading. I personalised the start of this book and it was breaking my heart. Then I realised - Heather M Orgeron is a great writer - I am feeling exactly what she intended with this writing.

Whilst her writing is beautiful, I had some troubles with the story line itself. The characters themselves are gorgeous. I just had trouble wrapping my mind around the relationships that were forming.

Vivienne is happy and content. She has a gorgeous house, an amazing 3 year old daughter and her soul mate right by her side...... Until he isn't.

After a car crash claims the life of Viv's soulmate, Abbott, she doesn't know how to rebuild. How do you keep going when the person who is meant to be next to you the whole time, is no longer there? How do you parent your daughter alone, when you were meant to do it together?

Reid is an 18 year old boy about to embark on his college life. But before he starts he has agreed to help his Aunt Viv over the summer holidays.

Problem..... Reid looks exactly like Abbott.

Something I really loved about this book was the twist at the end - well it was for me! I enjoyed being a bit surprised... But then it did make my emotions for these characters go a bit haywire again 😜

The only reason I'm not giving it more stars is purely based on my trouble connecting with the actual relationships in the book. I loved the characters! I loved the writing style! I will definitely be reading more of Heather's work.

How can I put this book into words?
How can I explain what this book has done to my emotions without giving too much away? It's simple, grab tissues.
Reading it in one sitting was not a good idea, but this story kept calling out to me. To have Viv known such a great love in her life, makes me appreciate my loved ones a little more especially my boyfriend. I've never read a more emotional rollercoaster book in my life until this one and I loved it.

You can't really understand love until you've felt its loss, to be without it. To have it there one day so bright and beautiful and shining and then in an instant its gone and your eyes have trouble adjusting to your new dawn. To be confused shattered and so alone that you'd do anything to have them back including projecting them on another. This was a heart wrenching book, and done so very beautifully. It shows deep promise for this writer who can pull out so many emotions that wring with clarity and truth, as if they really happened. A mark of a good writer. Love transforms and she showed this exceptionally well through Vivienne and Reid. For that is how you know it is love, you are forever transformed both inside and out along with trappings and people that now surround your new life, holding onto all those remnants that remind you of the one your soul is mated too, the one we call our soul mate.

So do yourself a favor and buy and read this book. Comb through and feel the delicate and sometimes sharp features, that love brings with it in tow. In the end, as this book shows, we all know who are hearts truly beat for, it is the one we look for when we open our eyes and then one we feel in the haze of the night, before we close our eyes, whether it is just for the night or forever.

    Well Done. Dude Approved

This was a tough sell, I'm still not sure where I stand, It makes me think of what's right and wrong, and that's why I gave it 4 stars. Anything that sticks with me and I have to tell someone about it makes for a good read to me. Vivienne is a broken woman, she had the perfect love story with a little princess. Now she is spiraling down a dark path with no hope of stopping. It was Freaking Sad so sad. I felt the heaviness of everything that Viv is going through. It tore me up. Reid comes to help his Aunt out and it becomes a whole another issue the Viv has no clue about. Be prepared for shocker after shocker and to me I was still sad at the end.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author but it definitely won’t be the last. My heart is still aching over Vivienne’s heartbreaking story. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure which way the plot was going and I was afraid that I wouldn’t like it but I needn’t have worried. The plot took a different turn and the twists!I definitely didn’t see them coming.
Vivienne’s Guilt is an emotionally raw and beautiful read and I. Was. Hooked!!
I can’t recommend this book enough. Once I’m over this book hangover I’m off to devour everything this author has written.
