★★★★ ½! Chandler (stand-alone book 5). Chandler’s funny, sexy & endearing fall into whipped!

Chandler (stand-alone, book 5) opens up to life as usual for playboy Chandler Pierce. Growing up with a silver spoon in his mouth, yet the black sheep of his family, he has opted for a position in his family empire without applying himself. In the dating department he learned early on to guard his heart and becoming a manwhore.
Heiress and College graduate, Genevieve Fasbender, Genny has grown up in the shadows of her brother. Yet she is still yearning for her father’s attention. Meeting the charming Chandler Pierce proves mutually beneficial with them letting off some steam and enjoying
But their no repeat sex policy is quickly compromised with more mind-blowing sex against walls and furniture. Add to that a friendship of sorts with Chandler, against his better judgment, inviting Genny to his family vacation home for the weekend… This cannot be wise!
I just loved Chandler Pierce’s inner voice, the contradiction of the man the world saw or wanted to see and the man he truly is. Eight words to describe Chandler: Charming, endearing, noble, funny, dejected, blunt, jokester and vulnerable.
Seven words to describe Genevieve Fasbender, Genny: Private, secretive, ambitious, flawed, naïve, easy-going and smart.
Chandler, told from Chandler’s POV, is indeed one man’s fall into whipped. But sexscapades aside, it also a story about finding your place; two lost souls, who are perfect for each other, if only they could see that themselves. It ends on a high with a sweet and comical epilogue!
Hilarious moments! Endearing inner dialogue! Feel-good! Sexy!

There are reasons why Laurelin Paige is my absolute favorite author. It's because with every single book she puts out, she just totally FLOORS ME!!! I wasn't sure if Chandler could live up to Hudson. I kept going over it in my head before I read Chandler. Well have no fear, because Laurelin hit it out of the stadium with Chandler!!
I never thought I could compare another man to Hudson Pierce, but the way Laurelin brings Chandler to life is just pure brilliance!!! He's funny, charming, sexy, controlling, but in a different light kind of way. Chandler is his own and that's what makes his story so unique. It's got the Chandler touch!!! This is easily one of my top reads of 2016!!! Full review to come soon!!

Oh Laurelin, when you say jump, I say how high. You are the queen of writing these sexy studs I fall so helplessly in love with, I can never get enough of the incredible men you bring us. Just as I fell in love with Hudson Pierce and his arrogant and dominating ways, I've fallen in love with Chandler Pierce and all his goofy and charming ways. I'm not sure how you suck me in, but Chandler was definitely another homerun!
Chandler is the sweeter and more hopeless romantic amongst the Pierce men. Chandler is the goofball brother and loves his women. To protect his heart, he has rules which include one night only with a beautiful woman...until a beautiful woman catches him by the balls and knows just how to hurt his ego! Chandler has always been the giving lover until one woman throws him into a tailspin. Oh how fun it is to see Chandler squirm and try to be all that he can be!
Chandler is a fun, flirty and sexy story with some twists you would never expect. Another fabulous story by Ms. Paige that I loved and devoured! Get ready for your kindles to sizzle and melt with this 5 star read!!!

Hudson who?! That's right ladies! Make room in your heart for Laurelin Paige's newest heart-throb, Chandler Pierce! This book was EVERYTHING I thought it would be, and SO MUCH MORE! I can NEVER say enough great things about Ms. Paige. She is an amazing author who always brings her A-game and never disappoints her readers! She is another one of my 'drop everything now' and read her books author. She's my auto-buy author. She is my everything romance author. I will NEVER turn away a Laurelin Paige book!
That being said, I was a little nervous to read Chandler Pierce's book. I mean how can you do better than Hudson Pierce? The FIXED TRILOGY is one of my all time favorite series and I didn't want anything to ruin it! Turns out, I was worried over absolutely NOTHING! I loved the bad-boy younger Pierce! I loved how his character grew in this book. I loved that Genevieve brought out a whole other side of Chandler when they were together. It was so titillating and sexy as hell! The fed off the lust for each other. The sexual chemistry was freaking electric with every turn of the page. I couldn't get enough of their sexy push/pull banter. Chandler and Genny were just so magnetic. It was such a delightful journey that they took me on.

Many say that you should never mix business with pleasure. But what if that pleasure could be the love of your life? What if that pleasure is life-changing? What if that pleasure is a page-turning book? SPOILER: Chandler, the latest romance in the Fixed series by Laurelin Paige, is pure pleasure indeed. An intoxicating rush of a read, Chandler stirred my soul, hitching itself to my heart so hard to where I did not want to leave.
After just a few pages, I was plummeted back into the Pierce world, one that pierced every part of me. I was fixed on this story as if I had never left, reunited with Chandler, Hudson, Alayna, and others who invaded my head and hear. I felt these charismatic and compelling characters sink into my soul, stealing it quickly, hijacking my heart and head.
SPOILER: It did not take long to FALL IN LOVE with Chandler, the captivating character and the tender tale. I FELL IN LOVE with this story more than I suspected I would, one that surprised me with its sweetness that wrapped itself around me like a blanket, making me swoon so very hard. I FELL IN LOVE with this series even more—as if that were possible.
I was ALL IN as Chandler, the latest story in the Fixed series, became my fix. My need. My ache. My angst. My adoration. My addiction. SPOILER: I could not stop reading, could not stop snickering, could not stop swooning, could not stop hoping, and could not stop my heart that beat hard for Chandler as it did and does for Hudson.
Oh Hudson. This story reveals a new side of big brother who berates little brother, sometimes warranted, yet mostly Hudson loves Chandler so much too. Chandler doesn’t let big brother sway him though; he still shines with self-confidence in spades.
“Though he’s easing me into the family business, I’m technically the owner of Pierce Industries, just like he is, and I hate it when he treats me like an average employee…Despite our differences, I want our company to succeed as much as he does.”
Chandler is not intimated by his bold, big brother. As much as I adore Hudson, I love Chandler’s power too, a power that surfaces from boardroom to bedroom.
“Swear on the Pierce family name, I do not let a woman leave my sheets before she’s received at least two orgasms. The goal is always three.”
Speaking of Os…holy ovary explosion! Chandler is a generous lover who puts women first in every way. I fell in love with this blue-eyed, blond, tall, and muscular Adonis hard and fast. Chandler is a manwhore, a 'feast and flee' man. Burned in the past, he is not about to let his heart get broken again. Women don’t affect him except for a hot night. Women don’t capture him…except one: Genevieve Fasbender.

This beautiful Brit has captured the cocky Chandler, seeping him into her spell where he thinks about putting his playboy status to rest. Chandler and Genevieve are the perfect match. Both fierce leaders are vying for a spot in their fathers’ companies that may merge as one. Both are battling being in their brothers’ shadows.
“The tension in the air thickens. It’s so heavy, I can’t breathe. I can’t think.”
The angst bleeds fast and furiously throughout Chandler. I was lost in lust, lost in love, lost in the spell cast upon me as Chandler captivated me, calling to me like the sea: fierce and forceful.
“I will keep it my pants zipped, as long as you promise never to refer to it as a ‘bit’ again. Monster would be preferable. Lord could work. Great Big Dick of Amazingness would earn lots of points with me.”
The banter between Genevieve and Chandler is heated and humorous; I could not get enough at the lines that made me lust and laugh, and sweat and swoon. Their chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS HOT like molten lava. I LOVE THEM!!!

While Chandler looks at Genevieve for pleasure and a possible future, she thinks he’s a mistake. A relationship that---while feels like pure pleasure---should only be business.

SPOILER: Chandler exceeded my expectations where I now hold Hudson and Chandler both tightly in my heart. I did not expect to love Chandler as much as Hudson but I did! I did not expect Chandler to be filled with as much humor as heart but he and his story were so much! I did not expect Chandler to melt me into a pool of swoon, making me fall in love with him and his story over and over again but he and it did. I FELL HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER PIERCE.
Captivating and combustible, I was drunk on this brilliant book. Drunk on Chandler. Drunk on the Pierce family. Drunk on the masterful writing of Laurelin Paige. I could not help but succumb to the spell of this story that is sheer brilliance from beginning to end. A riveting romance where the feels flowed as much as the fun, I’ll remain fixed on Chandler forever.

If you're a diehard fan of the 'Fixed' series, you'll probably find yourself picking up 'Chandler'. When I love a series, I'm not content until I've read every spin-off and all the bonus materials. So, not surprisingly, I was eager to read Chandler's book.
The problem with spin-offs is that they often fail to rise to the level of the original series. After all, the bar has already been set pretty high and that's what got you hooked in the first place. Unfortunately, such was the case with 'Chandler'.
It seems that poor Chandler is destined to remain in his older brother's shadow forever. Even in his own book he couldn't outshine Hudson. He often came off as juvenile and petulant instead. It was hard to relate to the spoiled playboy that harbored so much resentment. The only thing he evoked was a "poor little rich boy" response.
When Genevieve meets Chandler at an event, there is instant attraction. In no time, Genevieve has captured the attention of the city's most notorious playboy. Finally, he's found a woman that'll make him work for it.
Of course, their families are tied together through business and other ways that they don't realize. There is a twist or two along the way and some dramatic conflicts. Chandler is still a guy, so you can count on him screwing up and having to dig his way out of a mess of his own making.
In the end, this was just an okay read for me. Perhaps if it had been a total standalone, with no ties to another series, I might have irked it more. I'll never know. For me, I couldn't help but compare Chandler to his sexier older brother and he didn't even come close to measuring up. Poor Chandler is relegated to live in Hudson's background forever it seems.

Good God, Chandler....you blew me away. Completely!
I wasn't sure how much Chandler could measure up to Hudson, because come on....it's HUDSON we're comparing here. But I never lost faith and was not surprised one bit that I was proved wrong. Chandler is an alpha male through and through, and did the Pierce name justice!
Always living in the shadow of his older brother, Chandler is continuously misjudged and undervalued. To prove he's more than just a trust fund kid in the boardroom, Chandler takes on a more active role within Pierce Industries. But when his first task turns from business to pleasure, and a gorgeous woman he can't seem to forget, it's not only the boardroom he needs to impress.
Told entirely from Chandler's POV, this book delves into the raw emotions, feelings and thoughts of a young and fresh character. Chandler completely won me over...and over and over! Sexy, funny, arrogant and smart, Chandler is just as yummy as Hudson. I loved how vulnerable Chandler seemed right from the beginning, and the fact he didn't try to hide it. Being heartbroken many times can lead a person to withdraw and close people off. But it was refreshing to read that Chandler wasn't like that, even though he had is own particular set of rules for himself concerning love. But those rules were no match for Genevive Fasbender. She made Chandler question his feelings from the very start. But what Chandler wasn't expecting was for Genevive to want nothing to do with him. With so much to prove and people to impress, can Chandler risk his heart for a woman with even more to prove and with an even more closed off heart?...and can Genevive change her view on who Chandler is and accept his help and, more importantly, his love?
Everyone who loved The Fixed Trilogy and Hudson will fall in love with Chandler! This younger and smoking-hot Pierce will blow you away. FINALLY CHANDLER'S BOOK!!!!
To be honest, due to my Bookalzheimers, I can't really remember what all happened in Hudson's books. But I'm really glad to see him again in this one!
Chandler is so adorable! He's this sweet, sexy manwhore. But a nice one. I just loved him. And I loved that he finally found his forever-ever-after girl and that she is not really all that excited about him!!! Too cute. But of course she likes him back - she's just still a bit unsure about her sexuality. A bit confused. She very much likes Chandler's hidden dominance in the bedroom - or in the closet or a award-gala-bathroom. ☺
I really enjoyed this book. It was incredibly erotic and funny and serious. I loved it!
The only things I didn't love - but they're just personal stupid things. The name Chandler. I always see Chandler Bing from FRIENDS in my head and that's not who this Chandler is!!! ☺ And connected to that problem - the guy on the cover, while a really good-looking guy, is not my Chandler either. But all those Chandlerings didn't stop me from enjoying the book!!!!

Move over Hudson, there's a new Pierce in town.
I am completely and wholeheartedly in love with Chandler Pierce. Even more so than Hudson. Yep, you read that right. I am insanely in love right now with this man. Chandler and Genny are without a doubt my favourite Laurelin Paige couple to date, and with the all the humour, heart, and sexiness, Chandler (the book) is one of my top reads of 2016. I really hope we get more from this couple, but if we don't, I have to say, this book ended to perfection. A must read!!!

Laurelin Paige is one of my favorite authors! She has this knack for writing these sexy scenes and these strong women that make me want to shout "Feminists unite" from the rooftops! "Chandler" is definitely no different.
Chandler Pierce is the youngest of the Pierce family. If you've read the "Fixed" Trilogy, you're familiar with the younger, more doe-eyed version of the playboy this book initially portrays. The man of the hour has loved too many times, and each time it's usually been unrequited and he gets screwed over or stolen from. At that point in his young life, he wants to have fun and guard his heart (and wallet). As a matter of fact, his "business model" entails a life of one-night-stands and their referrals. He's known in all the gossip rags and has been named one of Forbes Magazine's "Richest Men Under Thirty". Filling in for his older brother, Hudson, at a charity gala for Accelecom, a company attempting to take over Werner Media (which Pierce Industries secretly owns controlling shares), Chandler spots this woman who normally isn't his type, though he finds himself drawn to her. What he doesn't expect, though, is her aloof demeanor. Chandler is used to getting his way but realizes he's the one in pursuit this time around.
Genevieve Fasbender is young, smart, beautiful and ambitious and knows what she wants out of life: to be accepted into the communications and media industry at Accelecom alongside her father and brother. “Hudson’s younger brother”. This should have been the most appropriate title for this book.
I don’t normally compare the main characters from different books, I hate it. But this time I could not avoid it because Chandler is doing it himself. He keeps comparing himself with his big brother Hudson. And I am sorry about this, but Chandler is definitely loosing.
Let’s see a few examples, exactly as Chandler points them out:
“As nice as my office is, Hudson’s is nicer.”
“Hudson makes deals I’m not caught up on. There is a lot he doesn’t tell me.”
“Hudson is not very predictable.”
“The only way to get Hudson to divulge information is to pretend I’m in the know.”
“Hudson’s instincts are almost always good.”
“Sometimes I think everyone just expects me to be Hudson’s lackey forever.”
“Hudson is always working.”
“There is always truth underscoring Hudson’s words.”
“My father is so business minded like Hudson. Sometimes it’s like I can’t possibly share his DNA.”
etc.
See what I mean? How can anyone compete with Hudson and win?
The problem is that this is Chandler’s book. I wanted him to be the top guy. It was obvious that he is at his brother shadow and nobody takes him seriously.
When Hudson takes charge, Chandler vanishes – especially when the big secret comes out at Hamptons’ home. I didn’t even cared or paid attention to the Chandler’s thoughts which is sharing with me. At their confrontation, Hudson has the strong, wise voice and Chandler is once more the naughty child who has screwed up.
Moreover, it was not very convincing the fact that although Chandler has such a reputation with women, until he meets Genevieve he is not really sure
-what he wants/needs in the bedroom,
-how he can get it and
-from whom he can get it.
And the same stands for Genny – although she admits she usually hesitates to ask what she wants.
Chandler and Genny is a charming couple in their mid 20s. Adorable, cute, sweet. They are struggling to build their career, find their dream jobs, learn how they prefer sex, and escape their families. Both of them were born in some kind of dynasties and while Genny is trying to succeed alone (not very successfully because her daddy is always there), Chandler is taking everything that it is offered by his family.
I don’t consider them very mature and I truly believe they are rushing things. They are just too innocent and their relationship hasn’t had any serious obstacles so far. It is not tested enough.
Regardless of their immaturity, I liked their story. They are perfect for each other.
I only wished Hudson didn’t make Chandler vanished from his own book several times.

Chandler! I am unhealthily obsessed with this man and if there's a cure for it I don't want it. He had me dreamy sighing during this book and I never wanted it end. His character was a very contradictory one, but I loved that about it. We got to see the side of himself that he showed to the world while also getting his inner self that he kept hidden. It showed his vulnerability and that's what drew me to him.
Seeing him pursue Genevieve was intriguing, sexy, and at times even humorous. I thoroughly enjoyed this book so I'm kicking myself for not reading anything from this series before now, but I plan on rectifying that issue soon! Overall, I will highly recommend this story and I hope everyone else loves Chandler as much as I did.

➳Have you ever read a book in which you just COULDN'T finish it because it is just too... bad?
➳Yeah, unfortunately Chandler is that type of book for me... which I'm surprised because I ADORE the Fixed Series by Laurelin Paige. I honestly don't know how to explain it, I just wasn't interested in this one. The story plot felt like it was dragging and moving too fast, the characters went straight to the point of the story, with no climax, no drama... basically, NO F-U-N that a book/story SHOULD imply

Chandler is a playboy...he wants everyone to believes this is his image but in reality he falls in love easy and fast. Then he meets Genevive Fasbender which she pretends she is not interested and the sex is really no good and not fulfilling. That is until they get stuck in a small closet hiding from Hudson (Chandler's older brother) and Edward Fasbender (Genevive's dad) and Chandler dominated her and Genny loves it, in fact she can't get enough of the rough commanding voice of Chandler. Genevive wants to be taking seriously in her fathers eyes and Chandler wants to be the man Genevive can look up to, So they make a deal/proposal both families can't refuse and for the first time Hudson he can depend on Chandler to be the Pierce he is meant to be by stepping up in the company with woman he loves by his side.
This is a re-read after reading Revenge the 3rd book in Slay series with Edward & Celia Fasbender I wanted to read Genevive story again because she graduated in that book and I wanted to remember how things turned out for her

This spin off follows the romance of Hudson's playboy younger brother Chandler Pierce and how his sexual preferences change from hot vanilla sex to even hotter B&D sex when he meets Genevieve Fasbender the ambitious daughter of a British business acquaintance who also happens to be an enemy of big brother Hudson. The story line was full of humor Chandler is such a lovable character but I found the character of Genevieve aloof and stand offish. Awesome Narration by the talented Joe Arden.

Genevieve is focused on earning her place at the company. The most important thing to her is her career & she feels she's been overlooked & treated differently in the work place because of her gender.

2 immature MCs. The female wants to prove to her father she's a smart shrewd businesswoman. But when her father doesn't listen to her ideas she gets back at him by sleeping with the male who kind of owns the company she wants a job with(something like that). I honestly think her father knows better than take her seriously. Anyway, that's not a way to show you're professional.
And the male mc is also an immature whining boy who is always doing things to irritate or get a rise out of his older brother because he thinks everyone else thinks the he is "better " than him. And he does that in stupid ways like putting his shoes on the top of his brother's desk or using his private elevator and keys even if his brother told him those were out of limits.
2 kids trying to play "professional people" in the investment/business world, but all they have to show is immaturity.
If I was his brother and her father I wouldn't trust them either. It's too risky.
Besides, imo, there's zero chemistry between them. Sex scenes are plenty and not hot.
Heroine passes the image of a robot to me. The way she dismisses the hero after every sex scene is so "unrealistic". She wants the no strings sex but it sounds fake. She's fake. All I can picture is a sex doll when reading about her. And the hero is a push over following her like a lost puppy.
I hate weak heroes.
That said I'm cutting my losses at chapter 11. Unable to keep going

Chandler Pierce has finally come into his own, he is a part of Pierce Industries. Not at all focused on business like his older brother Hudson, he's more interested in the chasing woman. He believes himself to be a giving lover but takes what he needs. That is until he meets Genevieve Fasbender. She is beautiful & so much more than he expects. Chandler has promised himself to stay unattached because he knows he falls in love to easily. After a one night tryst with Genevieve, Chandler cannot get her off his mind. Just when he makes an attempt to try to find her, she shows up at his office. They are attracted to each other & soon Chandler learns Genevieve enjoys being bossed around. Genevieve has other motives besides Chandler's bed, she wants to part of a media merger in the possible works between her father's company & Warner Media. When Chandler hears her ideas about what she thinks the merger could mean, he make arrangements for Genevieve to join him at a family weekend celebration. He wants Hudson to meet Genevieve & for him to hear about her ideas. Hudson is not pleased with Chandler's weekend companion & takes him aside to explain to him that she must go. Chandler doesn't understand, but it becomes clear that Genevieve stepmother is none other than Celia Warner. Hudson explains to Chandler about their history & how he will not allow Genevieve anywhere near his family. Chandler is so confused because he believes he has fallen in love with Genevieve & doesn't know what to think. Is she working for Celia? Does she truly care about Chandler? Will Chandler be able figure out a way to keep Genevieve is his life? Or will Hudson put an end to their relationship?
I was so excited for this book to come out. The Fixed Trilogy & Hudson books are some of my all time favorites. Chandler did not disappoint because again we got to learn more about another Pierce family member but it also let us catch up on the existing family members. I like to back & forth between the two main characters & how they were learning about a new side to themselves as well as each other. It was sweet when presented with doubt someone who was suppose to be a tough business man like Chandler questioned what he was doing. I enjoyed this book & hope Laurelin Paige finds more stories to write about our beloved Pierce family.

OMG Chandler is SCRUMMY!! An unexpectedly funny and totally sexy story. Laurelin Paige continues to be one of my absolute favorite contemporary romance authors.

Chandler Pierce must work hard to prove himself in the family business, Pierce Industries, and must prove himself to his older brother Hudson. A complex and important company merger is at stake and Chandler knows he can help maneuver the players. Along comes the striking Genevieve, also part of a wealthy dynasty, and she is also working hard to prove herself valuable to her family's company.
This book is written with sizzling heat and tons of humor. It never takes itself too seriously and that is why I loved this book. Chandler is a reformed playboy and the unfamiliar feelings he has for Genevieve throw him for a loop. Even though he and Genny agree to a no-strings-attached arrangement, they both are surprised at their intense connection.
"I take my belt, wrap it around my neck, and try to strangle myself before falling face-first onto her bed ... What the hell is she bringing out of me?"
WHOA! I LOVED revisiting the characters from the Fixed series, and was totally taken aback with the turn of events here in 'Chandler'. This is a sizzlingly sexy, quick and funny read, written with wit and intelligence. Fans of Laurelin Paige will love it and new readers will become addicted to the world of the Fixed series.

I am definitely a ‘hopeless romantic’, I look at the world through rose coloured glasses and just want everyone to be happy and in love. I’ve always been like this. I had my first serious boyfriend when I was 13, fell in love and thought we would eventually marry. That was not to be. However, the next serious boyfriend I had at 15 years old is the man I stayed with and married. He has been mine for nearly 29 years now ☺
Chandler is a guy I would classify as a ‘hopeless romantic.’ He believes in love and has been in love several times. I saw glimpses of this side of him when he was with Gwen, he was heart broken when she ended things.
However, nothing could prepare him for what happens when he meets Genevive. They share an incredible night together between the sheets. Afterwards Chandler feels like pounding his chest like a cave man and thinks they should be basking in the sexy afterglow. However, she likens the experience to an okay pizza and walks away.
Talk about being gob smacked! How can she possibly dismiss what they shared so nonchalantly? He knows it was good, he is very experienced with the female anatomy and knows how to turn a woman on. Or does he? This woman might have a slightly different appetite to what he is used to and some more thought and effort may be needed.
Challenge accepted! He knows she is just as affected by him as he is with her so he sets out to prove to her that he is man enough to handle anything her body desires.

Hudson is the prodigal son, Chandler is the attention seeking baby who wants to be treated like a grown up. Boys will be boys and I do love the Pierce boys.

And just who is the lady who will catch the most eligible batchelor? Let me tell you, she is British. In my head I totally inspired Laurelin to create the character of Genevieve Fasbender. Ok so I'm not a Londoner but I claim her.
Laurelin has written a fab book. She got some great British terms in, wanker, knickers, sod, bloody. You just know the sex will be great - hmmmm cupboard sex, I fancy a bit of that.
Never judge a book by the cover - that chap is not my Chandler. If you need me I'll be doing research on Instagram, Tumblr and Pinterest to find my perfect Chandler. I tell you my life is hard.

I loved Chandler!
Chandler is gorgeous, rich, and he's a player. His motto is to never fall in love....ever.
When he meets Genevieve Fasbender at a gala and after one night with her, he wants more. His dirty thoughts tho *WOW*
With her, for the first time, he is different. He is charming and wants her unlike anyone before.
So while I loved some things, some things just didn't work for me. I thought that this book was super short and rushed. Chandler, for me, did a complete 360 upon meeting her that it was so unrealistic to me. There is a trend in books lately about the fast reformed bad boy and for me to enjoy a book, I need to understand why this girl is different (besides the hot sex, because she makes him hard, and because she's pretty). I just want more emotion..more substance in the books I read.
This was a hot, quick read. I wish I had read the prior books in this series because I wonder if my read would have been different if I had started from the beginning.
All in all, I enjoyed Chandler. I just wish it was longer and had not felt so rushed.

3.5 Huds' little brother finally finds real love stars
If you have read the Fixed Trilogy and the Found Duet (and I STRONGLY recommend that you do before you read this one bc this book doesn't rehash his back story; also note that this review will contain spoilers if you have not), you know Chandler as Hudson Pierce's little brother. In those stories, Chandler is a relatively immature 19 year old who, very contrary to his older brother, seems to falls in love easily. In the Found duet, he fell hard for Gwen who made it clear she was just in it for the not very good sex with an over-eager, quick-on-the-draw adolescent (so my question remains why). And according to the main character himself, he has since fallen for a few other ladies who have not reciprocated; thus, the now 24 year old spends his free time posing for TMZ and banging everything that moves without follow-up sessions to protect his heart. When he encounters Genevieve Fasbender, he quickly dumps the floozies hanging off his arm for the chance to escort her to her hotel room for an evening of what he believed to be some pretty outstanding sex (she came at least 3 times, so he obviously rocked her world as well). When he encounters Genny (as he nicknames her much to her chagrin) the next day at Hudson's office, she tells him that he really didn't do it for her. Chandler is equal parts infuriated and intrigued, which brings out a bit of a dom in him that never existed before... and apparently that's what does it for the little British wanna be media mogul.
But while Chandler's love life finally seems to be on track again, Hudson informs him that he must choose between his new lady and his family as Genny's new stepmother is not permitted anywhere near the Pierces. How can Chandler make such an impossible choice? Is Hudson right about Genny's motives? Now that he has put his heart on the line again, can he even begin to think about walking away?
What I liked:
--- While Chandler's character was minimally involved in the Fixed series to this point, he was a focal point of the second part of the Found duet, and I didn't like his role in that story at all, so it was nice to get to know him a little better from his perspective to see what makes him tick
--- Steamy goodness with an edge
What I didn't like as much:
--- Was a little hard to take Chandler seriously as an adult at first because of his behavior in the earlier books - may have made sense to have him "age" a little more in another novel in the series before getting to his story so that the impression of the 19 year old quick-coming, over-the-top-with-Gwen Chandler was a little less fresh
--- Felt too instalove for the situation, especially on Genny's part
--- I was way off with the length of this book bc there was a novella attached at the end of it, so the story ended around 75% (totally messed up my pacing of the story in terms of where I thought I was in the story)
--- Not up to par with the rest of the Fixed series, imo, so a bit of a let down
Overall, a solid story with some mild BDSM elements that gave it a bit of an edge.

In the Found duet, he fell hard for Gwen who made it clear she was just in it for the not very good sex with an over-eager, quick-on-the-draw adolescent (so my question remains why). And according to the main character himself, he has since fallen for a few other ladies who have not reciprocated; thus, the now 24 year old spends his free time posing for TMZ and banging everything that moves without follow-up sessions to protect his heart. When he encounters Genevieve Fasbender, he quickly dumps the floozies hanging off his arm for the chance to escort her to her hotel room for an evening of what he believed to be some pretty outstanding sex (she came at least 3 times, so he obviously rocked her world as well). When he encounters Genny (as he nicknames her much to her chagrin) the next day at Hudson's office, she tells him that he really didn't do it for her. Chandler is equal parts infuriated and intrigued, which brings out a bit of a dom in him that never existed before... and apparently that's what does it for the little British wanna be media mogul.
But while Chandler's love life finally seems to be on track again, Hudson informs him that he must choose between his new lady and his family as Genny's new stepmother is not permitted anywhere near the Pierces. How can Chandler make such an impossible choice? Is Hudson right about Genny's motives? Now that he has put his heart on the line again, can he even begin to think about walking away?
What I liked:
--- While Chandler's character was minimally involved in the Fixed series to this point, he was a focal point of the second part of the Found duet, and I didn't like his role in that story at all, so it was nice to get to know him a little better from his perspective to see what makes him tick
--- Steamy goodness with an edge
What I didn't like as much:
--- Was a little hard to take Chandler seriously as an adult at first because of his behavior in the earlier books - may have made sense to have him "age" a little more in another novel in the series before getting to his story so that the impression of the 19 year old quick-coming, over-the-top-with-Gwen Chandler was a little less fresh
--- Felt too instalove for the situation, especially on Genny's part
--- I was way off with the length of this book bc there was a novella attached at the end of it, so the story ended around 75% (totally messed up my pacing of the story in terms of where I thought I was in the story)
--- Not up to par with the rest of the Fixed series, imo, so a bit of a let down
Overall, a solid story with some mild BDSM elements that gave it a bit of an edge.
