I sat and read this book right from the blurb to the very last page and still wanted more this is hands down a 5 star read and Iam so looking forward to reading more from you betty.no spoilers from but this is a definite must read book with a fantastic storyline and characters that are brilliant

    From the beginning chapter is had me gripped, the love and connection between Amy and her husband is something we all dream about, when he is killed in a tragic accident she thinks her life is over and she no longer wants to go on without him. Finding a passion for helping horses the have been in accidents she starts to live again. A chance meeting with a stranger in a bar Brock changes her whole life and she has to decide if she can love again and go through the hurt of maybe loosing someone else she love so much. The handsome, rugged Brock is about to give her no choice and knows from the first time he set eyes on Amy that he is in love and she is his life.

    The book took me on a roller coaster, I started with a huge smile on my face and soon became an ugly, sobbing mess. It just goes to show don't judge a book by it's cover!

    Betty Shreffler had me in tears within the first few chapters, then had me humbled, then sighing, then crying and finally relieved - what a rollercoaster ride of emotions!

    I liked how we got to go through everything with Amy, it helped to understand who she was and how she had become who Brock fell for. I really liked how sensitive he was to her situation and feelings.

    There were however a few things I didn't like middle to to end of part two, where I thought Amy was denied the chance to really show how strong she was and yet was manipulated and totally clueless about a situation brewing, why did Rock's sister and best friend not tell Amy what was going on? and after falling so much for Brock to see him act and treat Amy that way, to just walk away from everything made me really disappointed in him and that disappointment was only just diminished by the epilogue. Because of this I almost dropped a star but decided as I had obviously become so invested in the characters that I was this annoyed I'd stay with 5 stars.

    I loved this book it was so sweet. Poor Amy lost the love of her life in a fire on the farm she owned with him but instead of letting that destroy her she put her heart and sole into transforming the place into a rescue centre for sick horses. Skip forward a few years and she finally meets someone knew and the connection between them is instant and so sweet especially after all she has been through!

    Before I start on the book, I have to say that I had my husband read the prologue of this book because it was so profound. I never do that.
    Now for the book, Amy is so hurt by losing the person that she thought would be by her side that she is afraid to let anyone in. Brock was betrayed by a woman he thought he loved and now doesn’t trust any woman. For both it is a process of healing and discovery of trust and love. Will both take the chance at living or will both walk away?
