Make Me Stay
When someone says “Make me stay” in the most dramatic, love-sick kind of way, most people think it sounds desperate, weak, or needy. I, for one, think it sounds like all of the above! I’m not stupid, and I sure as heck am not desperate. In fact, I’m the complete opposite of weak. I’ve lived my live with a steel trap around my heart, and I don’t need anyone—especially a man. So how in the hell did a wannabe rock star get me to say those three words…make me stay?
One-woman man? You’ve got to be joking. I was a rock god…in a bar…in a small town…eh, details. I was getting women like I was their gift from God. I was going to make it big. My band and I were going to bust out of Small Town, USA, and we were going to knock the panties off every woman in sight. So, when I caught some sexy groupie touching my baby…my beautiful guitar, did I want to test those waters? Hell, yes! But did I want to be a one-woman man? Hell, no! But after that, all I knew was that I wanted to make her stay.

Ahhh, love, romance and that sticky-sweet feeling you get when you find the one that makes your heart flutter, so maybe that wasn’t the first feelings Caroline and Kane felt, maybe it was annoyance, or like putting bamboo shoots under your fingernails? Get ready for Make Me Stay a rockstar romance that is sooooo much more than guitar riffs and groupies, well, okay, there were a lot of groupies. M.E. Gordon has NAILED one humorous, heartbreaking and frustrating read all in one!
Caroline has come to the middle of nowhere to help her father out for the summer in his bar, B.J.’s, yep and one never leaves unhappy, either. Being a waitress in a bar is NOT what she went to college for, she wanted the tension and lights of New York City and the six-figure job she just knew was waiting for her. Let’s just say Caroline has some baggage, she does not do relationships, period. Until she touch his guitar, his prized possession and Kane went off like a roman candle, insulted that a mere groupie would defile his baby. What he got back was not a shivering and quivering female in awe of his awesomeness. He got a woman who is not afraid to stand up and all a jerk a jerk and give him a few blows to body parts that should have sent him packing. How could he know this gorgeous hellcat with the beautiful everything was the bar owner’s daughter? And as they say, “But wait! There’s MORE!”
Indeed there is, passion, fireworks, major miscommunications, heartbreak and electrifying and all-consuming sex, well, if they can stop arguing for two minutes. Mr. Womanizer Manwhore does One Night Stands, only. Ms. I Am Woman doesn’t’ want to lose herself in a man, and forget her own identity.

I always like a feisty romance and this one is that. There is plenty of banter with sassy and domineering characters. First we have the Rock Star on the rise and team that with the girl with abandonment issues. She gets it understandably from an incident from her past. Her dad had issues too, but is now thriving in his new business, and that is what he wants for his daughter as well. So he asks her to come to the Pub, and help out over the summer. This is where Caroline meets Kane, and from the first instance, its intense. Things happen quite quickly from enemies to friends to lovers in a small amount of time. They are both high-spirited and stubborn, and each wants a certain thing. At present, Kane has a full time construction job, that he happens to do with his band mates, ONS. The bond that the band have is like brothers. There is nothing that they wouldn't do for each other and the ribbing is funny.
I enjoyed this book even though it was fast paced, maybe a little to much that it made the relationship seem hasty and unnatural. I think the characters needed to evolve more as it came across as immature at times. Also, the court proceedings felt unauthentic with witness procedures. On the whole, this story is good and I would recommend it if you like your characters to be hyper and hardballs.

A fun read. Always love reading rock star books. Especially about the bad boy being tamed. Never quite got to "like" Caroline, however. She was just too "un"likable for me. Would read more from this author.

OMG!!! I absolutely loved this amazing book. It had everything I look for, Hot Sexy Alpha Wannabe Rock Star, Kick Arse No Nonsense Alpha Female that takes no rubbish from anyone. And the combination of both of them was amazing to read.
Caroline/Kitty was one of the best female characters I have read for a long time. I howled laughing at some of the ways she teased and bashed the guys in ONS! And how she tease and taunted Kane. Kane was your typical alpha male that spent his nights bedding different women and wanted no one to get close until he spots Caroline and claims he would marry her from the get go.
This heartbreaking story is full of emotions of all spectrums and it takes you on one hell of a journey. Where you stop being frightened and start to live and hope like Hell you can put all your wrongs right again. Although it's book about a band, I see it more a book about family and connections. How Sometimes no matter what you can't stop fate when it's coming at you.
A must read for me. One of my favourite Reads of the year. I so hope that this the start of a series because I need more of ONS.

OK first of all who doesn't love a rock star book?? They are one of my all time favourites and M.E did not disappoint!! I fell in love with this author after her debut novel Torn Hearts but she is now one of my all time favorites!
This story revolves around the arrogant, cocky, "rock god" womanizer Kane and Caroline the beautiful woman who has some deep rooted commitment issues! Let me just say their chemistry is off the charts!! I loved every detail about this story! It was the perfect amounts sex, angst, heartbreak and love all rolled up in one fantastic read!!!
My only warning about this book is once you start it you will not want to put it down! It pulls you in from the first chapter and doesn't let you go! So sit down, buckle up and enjoy the ride!! M.E YOU BLEW IT OUT OF THE PARK WITH THIS ONE!

I was sent a copy for an honest review. M.E. Gordon did not disappoint.
I read her debut novel Torn Hearts which I loved.
This time I went in blind had no idea what it was even about.
I don't normally do rock band books they all seem a bit similar but this surpassed any I have read
The story of Kane and Caroline dragged me in and kept me up till 1am in the morning just to finish this book.
Caroline is closed off to relationship's after the death of her mother not willing to let anyone close.
Kane is a rock band dog !! Sexy in every way but not one for relationship's that last longer than just one night.
Can the two open up to each enough to see how good they could be together without hurting each other ........
You will have to read it for yourself to find out.
Can't wait for another book looking forward to more from this author

Received a copy. What a way to write a rock star book. You have two characters, Kane and Caroline, that are both very strong and stubborn with their own issues to work out. The tension and attraction between these two can be cut with a knife and is off the charts. M E Gordon will have you falling for all the characters in this book and the best part is...(no spoilers here). Will Kane and Caroline overcome everything they face and who will be the one to absolutely understand the words Make Me Stay?

I fully recommended this book. It will not disappoint. It will keep you on your toes and guessing what will happen next. The banter and tension between Caroline and Kane is HOT!!! The story is so different than anything I have read recently. This author truly has a wonderful talent. I can't wait to see what M.E. Gordon has in store for us next!!

I really enjoyed the story. M. E. Gordon has a style that is very easy to enjoy. I found the characters easy to relate with for the most part. I had a little bit of issue with the whole thing about Caroline's mom. I thought that was a little over done. Aside from that I enjoyed the rest of the story. I think this author will be around for awhile. And I look forward to reading more.

Rock star romance is a hot story to read. Kane and Caroline don't just fall head over heals for each other. Caroline is a feisty woman and has her future planned. Coming to a small town isn't something she looks forward to and surely doesn't plan on making it permanent.
Kane is a hard working musician trying to climb his way to the top. He's a womanizing artist and is not afraid to meet his next conquest, that is until he meets Caroline. She meets Kane and though his looks are smoking hot she promises herself she won't be that groupie chasing a rockstar.
The scenes are heated and the imagery take you into the story much like watching your favorite movie. The cat and mouse game will make your heart skip a beat rooting for this romance to happen.

When I was approached with a request to review this book, I gladly accepted. A sexy rock god and the girl who tamed him? This has my name written all over it, so sign me up!
The novel starts out with Caroline arriving in the middle of nowhere to work with her dad at his bar for the summer. The place looks like a ghost town and she can’t wait for the summer to end and to find a new job that will get her back to New York. When she meets Kane, he seems like the exact kind of person she needs to stay away from but that seems to be easier said than done.
I loved the interactions between Kane and Caroline. I loved how sassy and independent Caroline was and how she stood her ground against Kane and the boys. I adored how the boys in the band protected Caroline and their relationships. The one thing I didn’t like about Caroline was how she seemed to flirt with all the boys in the band and string them along.
I loved how stubborn Kane can be and how even though Caroline and him weren’t seeing each other, he was still very protective of her. However there were a couple times when I felt his protective ways leaned into possessiveness and that made me uncomfortable and I didn’t agree with it.
There was quite a bit of intrigue surrounding Caroline’s mother and the story behind her, and I enjoyed the mystery of it. I relish trying to guess what the backstory could be and was glad it wasn’t given up too soon. I find a lot of authors will build something up but give it away far too soon to enjoy the anticipation.
One thing I found very weird in this story was that not once is Kane’s mother mentioned and then in passing for some unknown reason, near the end of the novel, Caroline asks how his mother is doing. I felt this was really out of place as we had heard nothing about her before this casual mention.
Overall I did greatly enjoy this novel and was completely sucked in once I started reading. If you like romance, I would highly recommend Make Me Stay.

4.5 Stars for this funny steamy romance!!!
Ms Gordon a a new author to me and I had the opportunity to read this and I have fallin' in love with Kane and Kitty.
Their story is so full of angst, humor, jealous,love heartbreak and it was an emotional ride from the beginning to the end.
The author drew me in early and held me captivated page after page with her writing technique. I loved that the book is from both characters POV it is always nice to read a book when we can learn about both of the main characters at the same time.
This story is filled with some amazing side characters that just make you laugh out loud and want to learn more about.
I hope that Ms. Gordon is going to continue to write and that a second book with all these characters comes out soon telling us all about JJ (HINT HINT). I would also love to know Trent's story!!
I would recommend this to ROCKSTAR Romance lovers everywhere!!!

I think this book could have been great. I love the idea of a girl knowing what she wants and the rock star running after HER instead of vice versa. It was different.
But for me, there seemed to be more character growth with the H, than the h. There wasn't an instantaneous love, which was good because I like a good build-up, but then it seemed to backfire. I felt the H took five steps forward and then at the climax took seven back; the h didn't seem to grow until about 3/4 through, and then the ending seemed rushed.
